Okay, so they may look like socks with toes, and indeed that is what they are!
I bought them to keep my feet warm in my VFFs through the autumn, bt wondered how they would fare in normal shoes. I tend to wear Onitsuka Tiger trainers when a "real" shoe is necessary, becasue I like the feedback I get from a thin waffle sole. After walking in trainers, then VFFS, it is easy to appreciate the heel strike (and thus try to avoid it) in a waffle soled shoe.
So I wore them around town for a couple of hours and I think it is fair to say that it IS possible to feel your big toe moving around on its own in these socks. As for the "other 4", well no real difference to socks in trainers, but the feedback from the big fella was good.
I wore them all day and didnt get a feeling of being too hot or sweaty in them, and when they came off the toes looked like they normally do. I can see how they might be useful for people with athletes foot as they will stop the skin to skin contact where the smeggy bits build up.
So overall - I like them.
Will try the Feelmax ones next and report back.
Much cheaper, but are they better?
